Import Export (IE) Code is a registration required for persons importing or exporting goods and services from India. IE Code is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of India. IE Codes when issued can be used by the entity throughout its existence and doesn't require any renewal or filing. Therefore, it is recommended for most organizations to obtain IE Code, irrespective of if they need it at the moment. IE Code application must be made to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade along with the necessary supporting documents.All Importers /exporters who import/export goods require an IE Code. IE Code is issued for the lifetime of the entity and requires no renewal. So once a IE Code is obtained, it can be used by that entity for all its import or export transactions without any further hassles. 0We provide you with our information form, which you are requested to fill and send it to us via email itself. At, Export shipments filed under all categories of the Shipping Bills would need the following declaration on the Shipping Bills in order to be eligible for claiming rewards under MEIS: “We intend to claim rewards under Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS)”. Such declaration shall be required even for export shipments under any of the schemes of Chapter 4 (including drawback), Chapter 5 or Chapter 6 of FTP. In the case of shipping bills (other than free shipping bills), such declaration of intent shall be mandatory.
The importer has to approach for EPCG license from licensing authority – Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). Application for EPCG with necessary supporting documents is filed with DGFT. Based on the amount of import duty exemption, the value addition is fixed up and export obligation has to be fulfilled accordingly. If you could not complete the export obligation in time specified by licensing authority, you may be permitted to get extended the export obligation period for further period of time. However, if you have already finished export obligation, you can sell the manufactured goods locally also in domestic tariff area (DTA).
Advance Authorization Scheme ASS is one of the incentive schemes provided by Indian Government thorough its government agency called DGFT – Director General of Foreign Trade. An Advance Authorisation is issued to allow duty free import of inputs, which are physically incorporated in export product (making normal allowance for wastage). In addition, fuel, oil, energy, catalysts which are consumed/ utilised to obtain export product, may also be allowed. DGFT, by means of Public Notice, may exclude any product(s) from purview of Advance Authorisation. Duty free import of mandatory spares upto 10% of CIF value of Authorisation which are required to be exported/ supplied with resultant product are allowed under Advance Authorisation. Advance Authorisations are issued for inputs and export items given under SION.
Certificate of Origin is an instrument which establishes evidence on origin of goods imported into any country.These certificates are essential for exporters to prove where their goods come from and therefore stake their claim to whatever benefits goods of Indian origin may be eligible for in the country of exports. it will be issued to both member and non-member companies. This is a document, used to certify that the export products are wholly obtained, produced or manufactured in India. It is generally an integral part of export documents.
GSP: The Generalised System of Preferences (known as GSP for short) is a scheme whereby a wide range of industrial and agricultural products originating in certain developing countries are given preferential access to the markets of the European Union. Preferential treatment is given in the form of reduced or zero rates of customs duties. The GSP scheme is specifically designed to benefit certain developing countries and integrate them into the world economy
A health certificate as per the India's requirements issued either by the official veterinarian or by a veterinary doctor authorized to issue an export certificate by the Government of the country of origin shall be furnished at the time of custom clearance.
